I think I always wanted to be an artist. I don’t remember when I didn’t want to be an artist. See, my grandfather was an artist; and my grandfather on my mother’s side was an artist; and my uncles were artists; and my father, who had no artists in the family, he used to copy pictures. I don’t know, I just, I always wanted to be an artist from the very beginning. I don’t remember when I … I certainly never wanted to be anything else. I didn’t want to be a cowboy or a football player. No, I never had any other ambition at all that I know of.
